AARM Flag History
As the host of the
inaugural AARM, the Malaysian Army was given the honor of designing the AARM
Flag. The red background on the flag symbolizes the color of the Army, signifying
courage, bravery and resolution.
While the AARM inscription at the top center denotes the ASEAN Armies Rifle
Meet, the gold color on the inscription symbolizes the importance and the value
of the meeting as the premier Rifle Meet for the armies of ASEAN.
In the center of the flag is the logo of ASEAN and its designation denoting the
spirit of ASEAN in which the meeting is conducted.
At the bottom right hand corner, a pair of cross muskets symbolizes the object
of the meet and the perpetual relationship between the soldiers and his firearm.
