In accordance with the trend of international and regional integration, the relations among ASEAN Armies are becoming more and more sincere with a variety of interactions. The ASEAN ARMIES RIFLE MEET, first held in 1991 in Malaysia and annually organized up to now, has become a fine tradition in the relationship among ASEAN Armies. It is a convergence of the ASEAN Armies’ best shooters to compete as well as an opportunity for the region’s Armies to promote solidarity, friendship, mutual trust and understanding.

On behalf of Vietnam People's Army, I would like to wish AARM-18 great achievement and all participants excellent accomplishment.
