MGEN ELMER C PABALE is the 27th Commander of the Army Support Command, Philippine Army. Its mission is to provide combat service support to all Philippine Army Units.

MGEN PABALE was born in Calamba, Laguna on 17 Feb 1962.

MGEN PABALE graduated from PMA in 12 March 1983 and was eventually assigned with the Philippine Army. From 1983 to 1989, MGEN PABALE served combat duty in Luzon with the Army’s 2nd Infantry Division as Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of the “Alpha” Company of the 42nd Infantry Battalion. He was later assigned with the Military Intelligence Company from 1990 to 1995 where he served as Intelligence Officer. From 1996 to 1999, he was then assigned as commanding officer of Transportation Company of the Supply and Transportation Battalion and eventually becoming the Commander of the Transportation Battalion of LSG, ASCOM. From 1999 to 2003, he was assigned to AFPMC where he became the Commanding Officer of the Procurement Unit of AFPMC. In mid-2004, he was back with ASCOM as the Asst. Chief of Staff for Plans, G5. He then served as Commanding Officer of 1st Forward Service Support Unit, ASCOM in 2004 to 2006. MGEN PABALE was the designated as the Asst. Chief of Staff for Operations of the ASCOM from 2006 to 2007. And later on became the Chief of Staff of ASCOM from 2007 to 2009. After serving with the ASCOM, MGEN PABALE became the Director of Army Modernization Program Management Office from 2009 to 2012. After which, he became the Chairman of the Philippine Army Bids and Awards Committee. He was designated Chairman from 2012 to 2014. He eventually earned his first star as he was assigned as Asst. Division Commander of the 7th Infantry Division from 2014 up to the start of 2015. During the start of that year he designated as the Inspector General of the Philippine Army. With his keen observation and excellent knowledge and experience in logistics and passion of improving the logistics system of the AFP, coupled with his outstanding service reputation and charismatic leadership, he was given the highest Command position for logistics in the Philippine Army, he formally assumed as the Commander of the Army Support Command last 21 November 2015.

MGEN PABALE is a recipient of various scholarships here and abroad. He finished the prestigious Scout Ranger Course upon graduating from the academy that helped him in the conduct of operations during his time as Platoon Leader, Executive Officer and Commanding Officer during his time with the Infantry Battalion. He then ventured in the field of Logistics when he took his Ordnance Officer Basic Course in 1989 and his Combined Logistics Advance Course last 1995 where he graduated number two and number one respectively. With various seminars and workshops in the field of logistics he eventually took the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist Course at EOD Bn, ASCOM, PA in 1998. After which, he took up Australian and Military Familiarization Course at Laverton, Australia and attended seminars on Defense Management at the Australian Department of Defense in 1999. In mid-2003, he was able to attend the 6th Logistics Forum at GHQ, AFP. He then took his Command and General Staff Course at the CGSC, TRADOC, PA at the latter part of that year. He also attended workshops on Personal Enhancement and Skills Development at Toastmasters International during the same year. In 2004, he finished his Masters in Business Administration at the AMA Computer University and in 2006 he finished the Training on the Philippine Bidding Documents at the Development Academy of the Philippines. In 2008, he also attended the Training on the Republic Act 9184 or commonly known as the Government Procurement Policy Board.

With his performance of duty as public servant for the past three decades, he received many recognition and appreciation from different institutions and organizations both military and civilian sectors. He is a recipient of three (3) Distinguished Service Stars, three (3) Command Plaques, twenty-two (22) Military Merit Medals, seven (7) Military Commendation Medals, Anti-Dissidents Campaign Medals in Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao, Military Civic Action Medals, Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation Medals, numerous Certificates of Recognition & Appreciation, and Commendation Letters. As a military student, he excelled in his studies as manifested in his achievements that include among others the CG, PA award or the Order of General Emilio Aguinaldo Award for graduating number 1 with no failing grades among all subjects in his Combined Logistics Officer Advance Course, Medalya ng Kagalingan, and Honor Graduate Award.

MGEN PABALE is blessed with two (2) wonderful children namely Ryan Christopher and Ria Krisel.
