514th PROUDLY PRESENTS ITS ACCOMPLISHMENTS
As the 51st Engineer Brigade celebrates its 43rd Founding Anniversary, it makes another year of victory, another year of growth. It brings a joyful celebration of successfully surpassing all the challenges and rigors of serving the nation and the people.
We may rate the accomplishments of the Infantry in terms of body count, captured and surrendered enemy personnel, supporters and sympathizers, firearms recovered, enemy camp overran or discovered, or guerilla fronts dismantled and conclude that they did well. However, there is something that the engineers have done to reinforce these accomplishments of the Army. In promoting stability and progress, the engineers are being tapped to implement infrastructure projects such as school buildings, farm to market roads, water system and electrical facilities.
As part of the implementing units, the 514ECB proudly presents its contributions to all the achievements of the 51st EBde. For the 2nd quarter of this year, one company under 1LT RAFAEL FIGURACION was organized to implement projects at Palawan. As the overall Project Officer-in-Charge, MAJ NELSON BERO was also there to supervise. For almost a month, the team successfully completed the repair of school building and the repair of Brgy Road, both in Macarascas, Palawan which amounted to P770,000.00 For another month, they had completed the repair of school building at El Nido, Palawan amounted to P250,000.00. To include some of the value added projects are the stage, flagpole and the gate of the school.
As part of the CMO operation activity, this unit was also tasked for the clearing and grubbing of the Gawad Kalinga Project at Tanay, Rizal. 1LT ARNEL LACHAMA of this unit was designated as Officer-in-Charge to this project.
But anniversary doesn't only mean remembering our achievements. We must also not overlook the areas that require improvement. As we celebrate the Bde’s 43rd founding anniversary, let us also renew our commitment to the Filipino people in offering selfless, high standard of professional conduct and unconditional dedicated service in order to ensure peace and order and eventually progressive to economic development
