514TH ECB TURNS OVER COMPLETED PROJECTS

The 51st Engineer Brigade celebrates the Yuletide Season as it makes another year of victory, another year of growth. It brings a joyful celebration of successfully surpassing all challenges and rigors of serving the people and the nation .>

We may rate the accomplishment of 514ECB in terms of development to support the socio-economic program of the government . In promoting stability and progress, the unit is being tapped by 51st Engineer Brigade, Philippine Army to implement national development infrastructure projects.

imgAAs part of the implementing units, the 514ECB proudly presents its contributions to all the turned-over projects and achievements of 51st Engineer Brigade. For the accomplishment during the 4th Quarter period, the 514ECB completed OPTEMPO projects at Palawan. These projects include the repair of water systems, repair of electrical systems, repair of brgy roads and repair of School Buildings, all in Palawan, with a total amount of Php 1,815,000.00 immediately turned over to Local Government Agencies on 21 October 2009.

During the 3rd Quarter period, another OPTEMPO project was completed under the supervision of 1LT RAFAEL B FIGURACION. In a span of 37 days only, repair of water system was finished last 29 July 2009 and was immediately turned over to local government officials. /p>

Meanwhile, to complete said OPTEMPO projects, one group under 1LT ARNEL O LACHAMA moved to Brgy Pag-asa, Kalayaan Island, Palawan to implement the repair of Electrical System there. Looking forward that these OPTEMPO Projects will be finally completed at the end of this quarter, once again the unit has kept its image as the “Ang Gumagawa” Battalion and proves that whatever it takes, no matter what problem was encountered, this unit can perform its given task.

As part of CMO operation activities, this unit was also tasked for the clearing and grubbing of the Gawad Kalinga project, opening and widening of roads at Dominican of Regina Rosary Sister, Tanay Rizal. 1LT ARNEL O LACHAMA was designated as Officer In-Charge to this project. But Yuletide Season doesn’t only mean remembering our achievements we must also not overlook the areas that require improvement. As we celebrate the Brigade Yuletide Party, let us renew our commitment to the Filipino people in offering our selfless, high standard of professional conduct and unconditional dedicated services in order to ensure peace and order, and essentially progressive economic development.
