514 ECB’s Involvement on Peace and Development

imgNASUGBU, Batangas --- The 514 Engineer Construction Battalion based in Sitio Palico, Brgy Bilaran, Nasugbu, Batangas is actively involve on peace and development program in its area of operation. This undertaking aims to improve and strengthen its civil relationship wth the communities and promote the good image of the AFP.

For this quarter, 514ECB underscored significant accomplishment relevant to peace and development. On February 03, 2011 this unit undertook road opening project at Brgy Tumalim, Nasugbu, Batangas. The residents of Brgy Tumalim benefitted from said project, especially the small time traders in bringing their farm products to the market and elementary students in going to school. This is part and function of the Army and the government in general, in their undertakings to bring development.

imgOn March 5, 2011, this unit also took part “Walk for Peace” together with the Philippine Air Force, the Philippine National Police, local officials and residents of Barangays Paraiso in Calatagan, Batangas. This activity aims to demonstrate unity in the local government with the community.

On March 9, 2011, this unit was involved in the road widening going to Gumapac Barrio Elementary School, to assist the students and the residents in going to school conveniently.

This shows that the Army Engineers in our area are very active in helping the communities. This is very important in building and promoting the image of our army and the AFP in general.
