Peace Covenant Signing last 01 March 2010 at the Municipal Covered Court in Los Baņos, Laguna.

564 ECB represented by MAJ JOSE EDUARDO F LIBOON (CE) PA attended a Peace Covenant Signing last 01 March 2010 for all local candidates running in the May 10, 2010 Election at the Municipal Covered Court in Los Baņos, Laguna.

All Mayoralty and Councilor candidates attended the signing ceremony held after the customary Monday Flag Raising Ceremony at the municipal compound. All candidates with their supporters were in full force for a peaceful showdown.
The covenant was initiated by Laguna Provincial Police Office, (PPO) the Los Banos Local Police, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the local COMELEC office. The event was also covered by the National and Local Media outfit, wherein MAJ LIBOON was interviewed on a live radio broadcast aired nationwide by DZRH radio and asked to comment on the coming election.

Before the signing ceremony was held, an invocation and Panunumpa sa Katapatan was held in the presence of DILG and Police/Military Officials. It was followed by the signing ceremony where the officials served as witnesses to the signing of the peace covenant.

This noteworthy undertaking is aimed to make all the candidates and all other stakeholders and Law Enforcement Officers commit all together for a credible, Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Elections (HOPE) 2010.
