UNIT HISTORY

As the area of responsibility of 565ECB widened, the Battalion was transferred to Camp Eldridge, Los Banos, Laguna on 07 October 1988 with the unit occupying the old existing Hospital building of Camp Eldridge.

The latest part of 1989, the unit under the stewardship of LTC ROMULO A BRILLANTES CE (GSC) PA accelerated the construction and completion of carry over projects such as the improvements of Brgy roads Phase I and Phase II in San Juan, Batangas and Catanauan Central School building project in Quezon. The unit continued the project operation its all out support for the countryside development as manifested in the development/rehabilitation of five (5) barangay roads in Tagkawayan, Quezon which was completed in the middle of CY 1990.

For the year 1991, the unit continued to maintain the competitive profile measured from the past to present achievements like the other Battalion of the 51EBde, PA. It has manifested professionalism, dedication to the service and technical capabilities in its action towards the projects in areas where it operates. Its services were translated into multifarious infrastructure accomplishments. Previous notable accomplishment of the battalion during the incumbency of COL LORENZO B ASIO CE (GSC) PA were the construction of two (2) classroom standard school building in Mauban, Quezon and site preparation and sub-camp development of Jamboree in Los Banos, Laguna for the concluded 12th ASIA Pacific Jamboree.

The 565th ECB in Bicolandia was taken the 564ECB of the 51ST EBde, PA who had been famous in extending the National Development efforts in the area has had a very significant changed through Paragraph 2 of General Orders Nr 127 of Hqs 51EBde, PA dated 25 May 1995.
