EMSBN Post Activities and other Major Accomplishments

imgNothing can spare a working environment for the confidence of the workforce in its everyday performance of duties and responsibilities. As far as any organization can be motivated, the value of morale is one great factor that affects the routine of the unit. Despite multifarious missions, the personnel are able to manage versatility among the various required skills just as long as their welfare is always in consideration. Along this morale boosting activities it appeared that major accomplishments were fulfilled.


For the second quarter of 2009, the Engineer Maintenance and Support Battalion boosted the structural assets, morale and welfare program for its personnel and completed carry over major base development projects cited as follows: .

The unit had properly set up areas for good causes in the post headquarters from previously junked deadline equipment and scraps areas to Battalion mess hall extension for additional personnel dining and ventilation purposes. This project was the brainchild of the BN –EX-O MAJOR SERGIO B CUADRA.

A camp tree planting activity on 28 April 2009 was conducted to have a “green environment” within camp. Seedlings planted were generated from the post nursery being maintained by the battalion Sergeant Major, Msg Jimmy Trinidad.

For personnel welfare, two successful summer outing occasions were conducted both held at the Manila Waters Incorporated Balara Development Park Swimming Pool Facility attended by organic personnel and dependents of HHQS and Maintenance Companies on 02 May 2009 and Special Projects and Support Companies on 08 May 2009 respectively. The coordination of 1LT ACE RONALD B AMPONG to the Manila Water President, MR. RENE ALMENDRAS, made the activities possible.


It has also revived the Monday Military Values Education (MILVED) Program which started on 08 June 2009 with 1LT JESSIE ROSE B AUSTRIA, S1 and Adjutant as the program responsible officer to schedule respective speakers. This activity caters a religious environment as personnel start their week right by thanking and asking GOD for the productive days and healthy working surroundings.

On Military Livelihood Education (MILE), the Battalion established an organic vegetable planting within camp to reap and sow food for daily needs of personnel. Likewise, the soon to be Vulcanizing Shop, training so far is on - going.

Truly, this endeavor contributes remarkable boost in the performance of every personnel. Hence, mission accomplishments can never be achieved if welfare of men is not considered as one factor for the development of every organization.

Other Major Accomplishments for the period are as follows:

• Completed the HPA Fire Truck Station Building – Inaugurated and blessed on 07 April 2009 with LTGEN VICTOR IBRADO AFP, CG, PA as presiding officer.

• Completed GHQ, AFP CMO School Building Project - Inaugurated and blessed on 17 June 2009 with BGEN PANGILINAN CRS, AFP Commander as the GOH..

• Completed Four PDEA projects simultaneously turned – over on 20 June 2009
