AFP ENGINEER COMMANDERS’ CONFERENCE CONDUCTED IN 51E FOR TWO OCCASSIONS '

LTGEN JAIME B BUENAFLOR who was conducting his last Engineer Commanders’ Conference due to his retirement presided the first occasion and finally for the second was LTGEN NESTOR Z OCHOA for barely two weeks after assuming the command of NADESCOM. Present are the OPCOM AFP Engineer Commanders as follows: BGEN PEDRO RIEZA-355AEW, PAF, COL MICHAELO SALVALEON-55EBde, PA, COL ROMULO C CABANTAC JR-52EBde, PA, COMMO NOEL NOBLEFRANCA-NCBde, PN, COL WASHINGTON CATAMEO, representing Commander 53EBde, PA, BGEN WILLIAM B ESPLANA-54EBde, PA and BGEN FELIZARDO A SIMOY of this Brigade as host commander. Likewise, MGEN RUDIVAL S CABADING-TCE, AFP and BGEN VICTOR A FELIX - AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for CMO, J7 attended the separate conferences. On the first conference, the outgoing commander was accorded tributes through testimonial golf competition and an evening socials in Halloween attire. Consequently, the second conference welcomed the newly designated NADESCOM commander through foyer honors and an all officers’ well wishers in his entrance to the camp. The newly promoted BGEN MICHAELO SALVALEON-55EBde, PA was also given honors on his star rank promotion during the period. The primary subject focused in the two separate conferences were Kalayaan Barangays Program projects (KBP) completion. KBP Projects were tasked to NADESCOM for implementation by OPCOM engineer units which call for completion as required by the Office of the President at the end of the year. In this regard, AFP NADESCOM Commander resolved the raised issues and concerns by OPCOM units and gave their guidance.
