50 NEWLY BREED ENGINEERS TO TAKE OVER THE RETIREES

In keeping with the growth of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and to meet the needs for personnel fill-up in the organization, 50 young talented men were inducted by BGEN FELIZARDO A SIMOY, Commander, 51ST Engineer Brigade, PA soldier candidate effective 13 October 2009.
These 50 young men, whos
e ages range from 18 to 25 years from all walks of life all over the country bested the more than 300 male applicants who applied for soldiery under the AFP Soldier Candidate Concept. Initially inducted as Candidate Soldier, they are now undergoing training, both physically and mentally, as a basic soldier. After they shall have successfully completed the required three months training which should qualify them for enlistment, they shall be enlisted into the Regular Force, of the AFP. Thereafter, they will be distributed among the different units/offices, particularly the engineer battalions of the Brigade.
This group of candidate soldiers are composed of college levels and the rest are high school graduates. They are being trained by a pool of highly trained instructors of the Brigade led by MAJOR ARNOLD CORPUZ, the G8 and Brigade Training Unit Commander.
