The radio program is the intent of the Brigade Commander, BGEN Felizardo A Simoy, AFP to reach out beneficiaries on the importance of Kalayaan Barangay Program (KBP) infrastructure projects in their villages. He further stress out to all line unit commanders to collaborate with LGUs and LGAs for the proper turnover of the KBP projects undertaken by its unit so as to give more significance as recipient of development set by national government. The one-hour live interview was hosted by Major Figueroa of 8th Civil Relation Group intended to inform our constituents particularly Southern Luzon, NCR and Palawan Province on Kalayaan Barangay Progam (KBP) accomplished projects.

Remarkably, KBP projects are National government effort hand in hand with Armed forces of the Philippines (AFP) through National Development Support Command (NADESCOM) directing the Corps of Engineer as the implementing unit.

As aired, the 51st Engineer brigade as the army’s working unit had successfully turn over government completed KBP projects which include- but it had not been limited to these- Farm to Market roads, Health Center, School buildings, water system and electrification projects which are now useful to the public.

In addition, the Army builders inform the public the related medical and dental civic action conducted by the brigade along its AOR wherein 142 kids benefitted on the operation Tule, 628 beneficiaries for tooth extraction and consultation and providing in-camp treatment of 185 medical consultations at brigade headquarters.

This information advocacy is to enlighten the general public about the peace and development being carried by the brigade. We encourage the public to tune in their radio station at DWDD every Thursday of the week at 11 A.M. until 12 Noon for more updates on KBP projects all over the region.
