THE HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS COMPANY

Silently serving the 51st ENGINEER BRIGADE, PA, in its own humble way, is the Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHCo). Since its activation on July 15, 1966 up to the present, HHCo brought significant accomplishment that contributed much to the over-all attainment of the brigade mission.

Its Particular Mission: “To provide command, control, direction, and supervision of the cleanliness, Orderly, Beautification, Force provider, Maintenance of its facilities and security of the 51st Engineer Brigade Headquarters”

 
With the able leadership of its new Commanding Officer, LTC ANTHONY D CELOSO (CE) PA, the unit had initiated the minor repair of roofings (selective) of its existing facilities in order to improve the living condition of its personnel. These facilities included the Bachelor Officer Quarters (BOQ), Officers Club House and replacement of old water pipe lines running from MP Barracks, Finance Building, Support Comapany, EMSBn and BTU Barracks. Likewise, camp improvement in terms of cleanliness, orderliness, beautification, security and morale facilities is being maintained.

 But how do we maintain the high level of expectations of the command and of the visitors coming in who are transacting official business with 14th Finance Service Unit.


Polishing the area is the earliest activity of the day, followed by grass cutting and trimming of ornamental plant. Band personnel, drivers, security escort and alert team are employed whenever there are band engagements, movements, log runs, disaster response and other similar movements within and outside brigade headquarters. They also monitor the unit’s intelligence operations on probable enemy activities and posting of sentinels in different guard posts to prevent any intruders from infiltrating the camp.

For the basic security and order inside camp, the personnel assigned with the military are police always alert and visible during different command activities. They also remind all military personnel of the command policies and regulations. Command activities and other related occasions always call for the unit’s marching band.
