The Division’s concerted efforts coupled by the positive result its activities yielded greatly reduce the capabilities of the various threats to conduct hostile action our troops in the civilian populace in the AOR. The surrender of LCM, MILF & ASG personalities furthered weakened their strength and demoralized their ranks and file.

                 The LCM is assessed to sustain its ideological, political & organizational activities despite the surrender and neutralization of several of its members as its cadres take advantage of the fewer government troops and its affected areas. The organization will further exploit the present political and economic crisis.

                 In the past two years, all known MILF Camps and Safe Houses in the AOR were either captured or overran. Although they continue to engage and hostile activities such as bombings, kidnap-for-ransom, and other illegal income generating activities, its armed groups will evade direct confrontation with government forces for self preservation.

                On the other hand, The Abu Sayyaf group on Sulu has splintered and will evade head-on clash with pursuing government forces and fight back only if cornered. In Basilan, The ASG may lie-low for a while has the populace have united against them while its top leaders and several members have fled to Sulu after we captured Camp Abdurajak in Punch Mohadji. The group is further assessed to continue engaging in hostile activities such as robbery, extortion & even kidnapping.

                With this development in over-all situation the Command is studying and reviewing our three-year campaign plan so as to formulate modification in order to address the major threat groups more effectively. In general the Command has, to a High Degree, accomplished its mission.
