5ID CONDUCTS BLOOD LETTING ACTIVITY
Camp Melchor F dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela - The 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army under the leadership
of Maj Gen Nestor Z Ochoa AFP conducted a one-day blood letting activity held at the Division Covered Court
last May 25, 2009. This blood letting activity was initiated by the Command aimed to save lives not only
intended for the soldiers and their dependents but also to the indigents who belong to marginalized sector
of our society.
This worthwhile undertaking was realized through the participation of the 96 newly Privates, who were just
enlisted into the regular force of AFP and undergoing the required rigorous trainings. As expected, they
were happy enough to have started serving the country by donating their precious blood to the needy.
Among those who generously assisted the Medical personnel of 5ID Station Hospital and the Office of the CMO,
G7, 5ID led by LTC LORETO C MAGUNDAYAO JR on the said activity were: Lerma A Medina, Annie Marie Visaya, Emma
Daquioag, Maria Gerlie Alimuc and Darius Diego; all are Medical Technologists from Governor Memorial Faustino
DY Hospital Blood Bank Center, Ilagan, Isabela.
