Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija - For the welfare and well-being of the people of Nueva Ecija, the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army jumpstarted year 2011 with a two-day massive blood-letting activity held at Kaugnay Covered Court, 7ID along with an Eye Cataract Mission held at Fort Magsaysay Army Station Hospital last 29 January 2011.

In collaboration with the Philippine National Red Cross, Nueva Ecija Chapter, at least 171,450 cc of blood were successfully extracted from 381 donors coming from the volunteer applicants of the Candidate Soldier’s Course and organic personnel of the Command.

Likewise, an “Eye Cataract Mission” was also held at Fort Magsaysay Army Station Hospital (FMASH) in cooperation with “Kamanggagawa Foundation” and UNTV Network. At least twenty-five (25) pre-screened patients from Clinic ni Kuya at Daan, Sarile, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija underwent eye operation and were successfully treated during said activity.

“The massive blood-letting and eye cataract mission we have just conducted would not be possible if not for the strong partnership we have with these stakeholders. Given these commendable accomplishments, we will continue to bring in as many stakeholders as we can just to advance the welfare of all Novo Ecijanos and the people within our area of responsibility for that matter” said MGEN IRINEO C ESPINO, AFP, Commander, 7ID.
