The 9^th Forward Service Support Unit traces back its humble beginning from then 9^th Military Support Point (MSP),AFP Logistics Command.

Under the leadership of BGEN GOPILAN as Commander ASCOM the 9^th Forward Service Support Unit was activated on 18 February 1998 Pursuant to GO# 55 HASCOM, PA dated 16 February 1998. The personnel, equipment and resources of the unit were absorved the deactivated Military Supply Point (MSP).

At present, under the stewardship of LTC SISON the 9^th Foraward Service Support Unit remains steadfast in the forefront in every aspect of service support services of the ARMY SUPPORT COMMAND as provider of quality and efficient logistics services to Philippine Army and Armed Forces of the Philippines units within Western Mindanao Area.
