TSG GLORIA G SARMIENTO 779257 PA (WAC) enlisted into the Regular Force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines as private in 1990.

She was a member of the elite Presidential Group from 1990-1993 and had served two (2) president of the Republic of the Philippines as a presidential guard before her assignment in AFPJCSC (1993-2003)

She has attended several military and civilian schoolings in the country. She is a graduate of the Basic Soldiery Course, Basic Pistol Course, Micro Computer Course & VIP Protection Course in 1990, Food & Beverages Security Course in 1991, Advance Practical Pistol Course in 1992, Organizational Research in 1993 (SouthEast Asian Intedisc Development) NCO Basic Course in 1994, Tel Traffic Opn Course in 1995, Mini-Micro CDS/ISIS Course (University of the Philippines, Diliman) in 1998, Office Automation Course in 1999 and Nihongo Language Course (National Defense College of the Philippines ) in 2001. She was also the AFP WAC delegation to the Balikatan Excersice 2001.

In 2004, after taking up Military Intelligence NCO Advance Course in TIS, ISG, she was reassigned to ARESCOM and hold the position of Data Base Development NCO in the office of Reservists Management Information System.

A month later, ARESCOM send TSg Sarmiento to take up Networking Essential Course and Networking Administrator Course at AMIC, PA Ft. Bonifacio. And thats make her the ARESCOM Network Administrator.

Finally, TSG SARMIENTO was  born on 28 November 1964 and hails from Dasmarinas Cavite. She is the oldest among nine (9) siblings of Diosita Gonzaga and Saturiano Sarmiento (deceased).
