MESSAGE

We come together once again as one team in celebration of our accomplishments and thrusts for the nation and our people as we mark the Philippine Army's 112th Founding Anniversary. In this observance, we recall with pride the endeavors we have initiated, carried out and sustained in response to the national government's and higher headquarters' impetus for national security, peace and development.

I, therefore, convey my proud and warm greetings to my fellow soldiers and members of Team Army on this happy occasion. Truly, the gains we have charted anew during the previews years reflect our collectives conviction for the noble purpose the we have taken upon ourselves in fulfillment of our mandate and mission as force provider and front liner in internal security operations. We can thus confidently say that we have done our job, and have given true form to our enduring team commitment -  at your service, across the land. Our troops in the field also reached out their hands of peace and empowerment to fellow Filipinos through community development and civic action programs in far-flung regions of the country. In all these, we have establishes Team Army as a true partner of our people in pursuit of stability and progress for our Republic.

Yet, our continually increasing roles in national development programs necessitate our untiring commitment and dedication. Further, we have deadline to abide by in the fulfillment of our Commander- in  - Chief's charge to the Armed Forces in bringing the insurgency to an inconsequential level. We must, hence sustain our efforts and pour support to our troops in terms of hardware, training and much-needed life support system. I am optimistic that we can measure up to these imperatives and in the process give substance to our anniversary theme for this year - "Philippine Army: Kasama ng Mama,ayan Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran".

Let us continue to do our job to bring our forebears in this institution. Let us serve the nation with integrity and pride, as we look forward to the victory that will march our fellow towards peace and development that we all envision.
