TRADOC Changes Command

Capas, Tarlac- Brig. Gen. Casiano C. Monilla assumed as the new Commander of the Philippine Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) replacing Maj. Gen. Herminigildo Francisco C. Aquino in a change of command ceremony with Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Glorioso V. Miranda as the presiding general officer at TRADOC Grandstand in Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac at 10:00 a.m., February 11, 2017 attended by AFP Commanders, School Commandants, Directors of Centers, Army Training Group Commanders and civilian stakeholders.

Last week, Maj. Gen. Aquino assumed as the commandant of the Command and General Staff College at General Headquarters, AFP in Camp Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

During the ceremony, MGen. Aquino received a command plaque from CGPA Lt. Gen. Miranda for his excellent generalship, leadership and management as 50th TRADOC Commander. He also received a distinguished conduct star for eminently meritorious and invaluable services rendered in a position of major responsibility.

BGen. Monilla is a member of the PMA “Maharlika” Class of 1984. He is the current Commander of the Joint Task Force-National Capital Region, Armed Forces of the Philippines (JTF-NCR AFP). Prior to his position as Commander, JTF NCR, AFP he served as the Assistant Division Commander of the 10th Infantry Division, Philippine Army based in Compostela Valley Province.

Among those present during the change of command were Commander, Northern Luzon Command, AFP Lt. Gen. Romeo Tanalgo; Mechanized Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Edgar Gonzalez; Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Commander Maj. Gen. Danilo G. Pamonag; and 7th Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Angelito M. De Leon.
