    A MINIATURE REPLICA OF FISHERMAN’S SHELTER  IN BATANES ISLANDS Camp Aquino, Tarlac City – A miniature replica of a fisherman’s shelter

    will be unveiled in the country’s northernmost province of Batanes at 10:00 AM this day, November 23, 2017, by the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), together with the Local Government Units (LGUs) and other stakeholders.
    This is the highlight of the activity in connection with the Commander’s Visit and the celebration of Philippine Marine Birthday in Batanes. The Joint Task Force (JTF) “KARAGATAN” of the Naval Forces-Northern Luzon (NF-NL), as the Philippine Navy-Marine contingent of NOLCOM, secures the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), territorial waters and isolated islands comprising the province.
    NOLCOM will also conduct its two-day All-In-One Bayanihan, in the municipality of Basco, Batan Island starting today and the following day, November 24, 2017. This will compose of a series of events like meeting the Local Executives and Community Leaders, Medical and Dental Mission and Gift-Giving, dialogue with the fisher folks and talk with the AFP Reservists.
    In allegiance to its constitutional mandate fostering selfless service to our fellowmen, NOLCOM Commander, LTGEN EMMANUEL B SALAMAT AFP, spear-headed the event, together with the LGU and Civil Society Organization (CSO), and the troop visit ensuring the safety of our fishermen and preparedness of our troops to defend our waters and territory.
