   THE UNIT SEAL

THE UNIT SEAL IS A GRAPHIC SYMBOLISM OF THE PROMINENT FEATURES THAT DESCRIBE THE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR) OF THE DIVISION. AT THE CENTER IS MT. ARAYAT, THE MOST PROMINENT LANDMARK IN CENTRAL PLAIN OF LUZON. BEHIND IT IS A RISING SUN SIGNIFYING LIBERTY, WITH SEVEN RAYS REPRESENTING THE SEVEN PROVINCES - BULACAN, BATAAN, NUEVA ECIJA, PAMPANGA, TARLAC, ZAMBALES AND AURORA. RADIATING GRIDS FROM THE BASE DENOTE RICE PADDIES WHICH COVER MOST AREAS, CENTRAL LUZON BEING THE RICE GRANARY OF THE PHILIPPINES. THE COLORS ALSO HAVE THEIR OWN MEANING – YELLOW FOR SINCERITY AND COMMITMENT AND GREEN BEING THE ARMY COLOR. SUPERIMPOSED ARE THE NUMBER “7” AND A BANNER UNDERNEATH WITH THE TAGALOG WORD “KAUGNAY” WHICH MEANS THAT THE 7TH INFANTRY DIVISION’S MISSION IS INTERLINKED WITH THE PEOPLE’S ASPIRATIONS AND PARTNERSHIP IN NATION-BUILDING. ALL THESE ARE SET IN A SHIELD SYMBOLIZING THE DIVISION AS A DEFENDER OF THE PEOPLE.
