PMA Performs Silent Drill at Wesleyan University

Class 2018 of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) performed a Silent Drill exhibition at the Wesleyan University– Philippines in Cabanatuan City on 24 May 2017.

PMA Class 2018 is presently undertaking an Officer Preparatory Course (OPC) in Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija. Part of their Civil Military Operations Activity is the conduct of the Silent Drill.

The Silent Drill is a series of calculated drill movements with elaborate rifle spins and rifle exchanges/passing that exhibit the cadets’ skill in handling the M14 rifle.  It likewise showcases the capability of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and could serve as an inspiration to the youth to become cadets of the PMA.

Fort Magsaysay is one of the largest military training ground in Asia. Based in the camp is the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army headed Major General Angelito M De Leon who is also a member of the PMA Class “Maharlika” Batch 84. 7ID often hosts PMA training activities that develop and enhance the soldiers’ skills and capabilities.
