Fighting Erupts Again in Aleosan, North Cotabato

Barely four days after Moro Islamic Liberation Front forces attacked Cafgu Active Auxiliary detachment in Aleosan, North Cotabato on June 27, fighting erupted again in the area today at 8:30 a.m.

Army troops from the 40th Infantry Battalion were attacked at Pagangan 2, Aleosan by 120 fully armed group believed to be from 105 and 108th BC MILF.

Identified leaders of the group are Commanders Motalib Kague Limbas, Talanok, Mustapha, and Manalapas.

No casualties were reported so far from both sides.
