Army Honors BGEN Martinez
The Philippine Army led by its Commanding General LtGen Delfin N Bangit
pays tribute to a senior Army officer who unselfishly served the
organization and the country, in a testimonial review held at the
Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand in Fort Bonifacio , Metro Manila
this afternoon.
After 35 years of invaluable service, Brigadier General Florante B
Martinez hangs his uniform as he retires from the military service
today. BGen Martinez had a colorful military career; his most recent
assignment being the Commander of Headquarters & Headquarters Support
Group (HHSG). Prior to this, he was the Assistant Division Commander of
the 2nd Infantry Division, concurrently serving as the Chief of the
Office of the Ethical Standard and Public Accountability in 2nd ID; and
Brigade Commander of the 1001st Brigade and 403rd Brigade of 10th and
4th Infantry Divisions respectively.
Being a respected member of the military organization, BGen Martinez is
still expected to live by the principles of the Army as retired
personnel. Testimonial reviews have been a tradition of the Philippine
Army as a means of honoring and thanking its personnel for the valuable
service to the country. #
