3 NPA terrorists return to the folds of law
With an aim to start their lives anew and totally abandon the
underground movement, three New People's Army terrorists returned to the
folds of law in three separate incidents in the provinces of Kalinga,
Catanduanes, and Davao del Norte.
A certain Rosemarie Domingo alias Laya/Maya/Libya/ Ramces voluntarily
surrendered without firearms to Technical Sergeant Antonio P Abalos and
intel operatives of the Army's 5th Infantry Division at 10 a.m. on March
23. She was fetched thru a special operation conducted by the
facilitators in Brgy. Balbalasang, Balbalan, Kalinga.
In Catanduanes, a certain Ronnel Espiritu y Eugenio alias Lenin of
Kasapian Pusa, a resident of Brgy. Lourdes, Pandan, Catanduanes
voluntarily surrendered to the members of the Army's 83rd Infantry
Battalion at 9 a.m. on March 22.
Initial investigation revealed that Eugenio entered the underground
movement on July 2004 but went on lie-low status on October 2008.
Eugenio also disclosed that he was under the leadership of a certain
Ardex of Kasapian Pusa, operating in the municipalities of Pandan,
Caramoran, Viga all of Catanduanes. He is now under the custody of the
intelligence operatives of the Army's 23rd Infantry Battalion for proper
custodial debriefing.
In Davao del Norte, a certain Mary Ann Bender alias An-an/ Dian
voluntarily surrendered without firearms to the combined operatives of
the 3rd Special Forces Battalion of the 60th Infantry Battalion at 3
p.m. on March 23.
Bender is a member of SRGU, Southern Mindanao Regional Committee. She is
now undergoing custodial debriefing. #
