Army Honors Retiring Personnel


The Philippine Army, led by Army chief Lt Gen Delfin N Bangit, bids farewell to two of its senior military officers - BGEN Allan C Bontuyan and BGEN Ernesto P Cutiyog - after years of committed and dedicated service to the military, in a Testimonial Review held at the Headquarters Philippine Army in Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila today.

With their most recent posts as Chief of the Office and Legislative Affairs, GHQ and Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8, respectively, BGEN Bontuyan and BGEN Cutiyog finally retires after a colorful military career exemplified by true service to the organization that they belonged in and to the people whom they vowed to serve. Prior to their most recent positions, BGEN Bontuyan and BGEN Cutiyog both held major posts in the Philippine Army. BGEN Bontuyan became the Army Artillery Regiment (Provisional) commander and Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) vice commander. BGEN Cutiyog, on the other hand, assumed as Assistant Division Commander of the Light Armor Division (LAD).

BGEN Bontuyan and BGEN Cutiyog are expected to live by the Army principles of a retired personnel in all the endeavors they would undertake in the future.

Testimonial reviews are being held as a tradition of the Philippine Army to pay respect and give tribute to retiring Army personnel. #
