38 Newly-Promoted Generals Take Oath at Malacanang
President Benigno S Aquino III administers the oath to the 38
newly-promoted generals of the Armed Forces of the Philippines at the
Ceremonial Hall, Malacañang Palace, Manila today.
Among the 38 newly-promoted generals were Lt Gen Ricardo David, Chief of

Meanwhile, Army chief MGEN Arturo B Ortiz will formally welcome some of
the newly-promoted generals presently occupying sensitive posts at the
Philippine Army and the Armed Forces of the Philippines tomorrow,
September 8 at the Philippine Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Metro
Manila.
Promotion of senior military officers entails a greater responsibility
of maintaining the momentum in the intensified efforts of bringing peace
and stability in the country. MGEN Ortiz recognizes that the able
leadership of every commander is an indispensable factor in carrying out
the Army’s mission essential tasks. #
