The Army Cares

Members of the 11th Infantry Battalion participated in the medical and
dental mission/ civic action conducted by the Office of the
Representative, 1st Congressional District, Negros Oriental in Brgy
Balogo, Guihulngan City on August 26, 2010. Hon Jocelyn Limkaichong and
Hon Liland Estacion, Representative and Board Member of 1st District,
NOR respectively spearheaded the said activity, together with
representatives of the Rural Health Unit representatives. Also present
were members of LGU, and PNP. The activity provided free eye check ups,
dental check-ups, medical consultations, circumcisions and minor
surgeries. A total of 538 residents of Brgy Balogo and adjacent
barangays benefited from the said medical and dental mission.
The activity was highlighted by giving of different toys and popsicles
to the children of said barangay and a dance number presented by
personnel of 11th IB.
The office of Congresswoman Jocelyn Limkaichong and LGU provided free
medicines and other supplies for the conduct of the said civic action.
Lt Col Ramil M Bitong, 11th IB Commander, said that the battalion will
continue to participate and support programs oriented towards community
development and nation - building. |
