25IB joins the people of Monkayo in commemorating the 112th Anniversary
of the Philippine Independence
Camp Kalaw, Poblacion, Monkayo, Compostela Valley Province - 8:AM, June
12, 2010. The 25th Infantry Fireball Battalion joins the people of
Monkayo in celebrating the 112th Anniversary of the Philippine
Independence. A flag raising event was conducted at the Monkayo
Municipal Hall compound, which was attended by 25IB troop led by 1Lt
Albert Beran, PNP Monkayo, DepEd personnel, and municipal officials and
personnel of the Municipality of Monkayo. The ceremony brought together
the entire stakeholders of the municipality. The event started with an
invocation and followed by the mass singing of the National Anthem.
After which, teachers in the municipality performed a very graceful
traditional dance. This was immediately followed by the singing of the
Monkayo Hymn. The ceremony was concluded by a message from Hon. Armando
Codilla, a newly elected Sangguniang Bayan member of the municipality.
In his statement, he stressed the joining of hands of the people of
Monkayo together with the Local Government Unit, the PNP and the AFP in
promoting peace and economic development in the municipality.
Together with the Local Government Unit of Monkayo and all community
stakeholders, the 25th Infantry Fireball Battalion under the sterling
leadership of Ltc Gilbert F Saret, vowed to uphold its mandate of
maintaining order and economic stability in the area, fight terrorist
insurgents and promote peace.
With the theme: Kalayaan: Tagumpay Ng Bayan, the people are assured that
25IB will continue to fully serve the countrymen with its genuine
services. Team 25IB will always be a reliable partner of the people of
Monkayo in our quest for lasting peace and progress.
