Chief of Staff, Army Support Command

    COL JESUS JEFFREY F GRAPA (OS) GSC PA joined the Philippine Army as a member of PMA Tanglaw Diwa Class of 1992.

    His first years in the Army were spent at 25th Infantry Battalion, 6th Infantry Division as a platoon leader, Company Executive Officer and Company Commander. He was then assigned to the Office of the Army Chief Ordnance and Chemical Service as Branch Chief and then at the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4, GHQ also as Branch but later as Division Chief. Upon going back to the Army, he was assigned to Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), PA where he was designated as Assistant Commandant and later G4 of TRADOC.

    In 2011 he was assigned to Army Support Command (ASCOM) as Management Fiscal Officer. After taking his Command and General Staff Course, he became the Commander of Supply Battalion, 7th Forward Service Support Unit and Armaments and Ammunition Battalion.

    He also became the Deputy Commander of Logistics Support Group before being designated as Chief of Staff of ASCOM.
    He worked in various Capability Upgrade Program (CUP) Projects such as Technical Officer of the Squad Automatic Weapon Project in 2001, Team Leader of the 1¼T Truck Defense Acquisition System Assessment Team (DASAT) in 2013 and Team Leader of the Forward Support Systems DASAT for 2020. He is also one of the writers of the Philippine Army Sustainment and Logistics Manuals presently being written.

    He is a graduate of Combined Logistics Career Captain’s Course at the Army Logistics Management College (ALMC), Fort Lee, VA, USA in 2003.
    He has Masters Degrees in Logistics in 2008 and Business Program Management in 2011 both at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Canberra, Australia. In 2013, while taking the Command and General Staff Course, he also took his Masters in Public Management in Development and Security at the Development Academy of the Philippines where his thesis was awarded the “Gold Medal Award”.

    He is happily married to the former Lorelie Bustillos Ping-ay of Sta Cruz, Ilocos Sur.
