      8th Command Sergeant Major, of Army Support Command, Philippine Army.

     The second child in a family of five, SMS Andam  was born in Bgry Damires, New Lucena, Iloilo on 28 January 1967. He started his military career when he graduated from Recruit Orientation Training at Officer Preparatory & Soldier School, Training Command in 1987. Upon his graduation, he was assigned at Maintenance Battalion, Army Support Command (formerly known as Service Support Brigade) as a wrecker crew. Due to his diligence and dedication to duty, SMS Andam became the Sergeant Major of Maintenance Battalion and subsequently became the Group Sergeant Major of 1st Logistics Support Command prior to his assumption as Command Sergeant Major, Army Support Command.

      SMS Andam is a graduate of various career and military schooling such as Small Arms Repair and Rebuild Course, Seminar on 5 Ton M813A1-M814, Trainors Training for Mechanics of 1 ¼ Ton Truck, Small Arms Repair & Rebuild Course, Freightliner Military Wrecker Mechanic Course and Auto Mechanic & Engine Overhauling. He took Infantry NCO Basic Course but change his career as a Logisticians when he took Ordnance Service NCO Advance Course. SMS Andam took his Sergeant Major Course at AFP Command & General Staff College, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City last 18 September 2015.

As a testament to his exemplary performance of duty, he garnered several military awards and commendations such as Military Merit Medals (MMM), Military Commendation Medals and Military Civic Action Medals. He is also a recipient of Combat “Kagitingan” Badge, Outstanding Achievement Medal, several Letters of Commendation, Certificates and Plaques both from military and civilian sectors.

SMS Andam is happily married to Luisa Surmieda Andam and blessed with 3 daughters– Sheryle, Shela, Shenna Mae and 5 sons Armeo, Ariel, Arnold, Arjie, Arjhun.

To date, Senior Master Sergeant Andam has rendered a total of thirty Six (36) years in the active service and is set to retire on 28 January 2023.
