Demilitarization of CCSR Firearms

Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City – After series of coordinating conferences and lots of preparations, the joint effort of the different Law Enforcement Agencies in Davao Region successfully conducted the demilitarization of Captured Confiscated Surrendered (CCSR) Firearms under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) at Tagum City on July 16, 2019.
The 11th Forward Service Support Unit, Army Support Command, Philippine Army acted
as the main effort during the demilitarization process. A total of six high - powered firearms under the custody of the Police Regional Office Regions XI and XIII of the Philippine National Police were dismantled composed of three M16 rifles, one M653 carbine, one M14 rifle and one Grenade launcher during the ceremony.
The said firearms were cut by the skilled 11FSSU “Mapaglaan” Troopers under the scrutinizing eyes and supervision of MAJ REYNANTE R EBREO (OS) PA, team leader utilizing circular saws to ensure no parts of the firearms could be re-used or recycled. No other than the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, His Excellency President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was the guest of Honor during the momentous day.
The ceremonial demilitarization of the CCSR firearms was part of the program during the distribution of housing units for rebel returnees by the Philippine government. The said demilitarization of assorted firearms were participated and witnessed by the different AFP units in Davao Region, PNP units, other Government agencies and Log.al Government Units. Different high ranking military Officers and government officials also attended and witnessed the said 1-day event.
