Soldiers at Army General Hospital receive early Christmas gifts

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila– Soldiers recuperating at the Army General Hospital received early Christmas gifts from the Military Christian Fellowship-Philippines Inc., on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018.

The Commanding General, Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto was the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the event tagged as, “Celebrating Christmas with the Soldiers” held at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Army General Hospital.

During the event wheelchairs and gift packs were given to soldiers. Department of National Defense Undersecretary Ernesto Carolina and his wife were present and took part in the handing out of wheelchairs to selected patients. On the other hand, Lt. Gen. Alberto together with his wife and other Army senior officer’s ladies led the distribution of the gift packs.

In his message, CGPA expressed his gratitude to the people behind the initiative. He said that he is grateful to numerous benevolent individuals and groups that continuously provide support to the Philippine Army which greatly help in uplifting the morale of troops. He believe that it is a reflection of the positive gains of the Army in line with its transformation where various stakeholders started to embark and wanted to be part of its journey.#
