FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – Nine senior officers of the Philippine Army were donned with their new star ranks today, January 10, 2019 here.
The Donning of Ranks Ceremony for the nine newly promoted generals was presided by the Commanding General Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto at the Commander’s Lounge, Headquarters Philippine Army. Army Adjutant Col. Albert G. Baybayan read the promotion orders of the senior officers.
Promoted to the rank of Major General were Jose C. Faustino (Commander of the 10th Infantry Division), Byron H. Calimag (Commander of Army Support Command), and Jesus B. Sarsagat (newly-installed Chief of Staff of the Philippine Army).
On the other hand, promoted to the rank of Brigadier General were Alfredo A. Soriano (Chief of the Office of Army Internal Audit), Virgilio B. Bartolome (Commander of the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group), Peter Angelo L. Ramos (Commander of the 501st Infantry Brigade, 5th Infantry Division), Alfredo V. Rosario Jr, (Commander of the 602nd Brigade, 6th Infantry Division), Gilbert F. Saret (Commander of the 1001st Brigade, 10th Infantry Division), and Robert C. Dauz (Commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Mechanized Infantry Division).#
