FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila- The Philippine Army conferred to 15 senior officers their new rank of Colonel following a donning ceremony held during Command Flag Raising here Monday, January 14, 2019.

The Commanding General Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto presided over the rite together with Maj. Gen. Robert M. Arevalo and Brig. Gen. Alfredo A. Soriano, Army Vice Commander and the Army Internal Auditor, respectively.

Promoted to the rank of Colonel is one of the Commanding General’s personal staff, Patrick B. De Villa, the Secretary to the Army General Staff.

Meanwhile, promoted from the special staff was Rowell S. Velasquez (Deputy, Office of the Army Chief Ordnance and Chemical Service).

From the general staff were Lennon G. Babilonia (Executive Officer, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans and Programs, G5), Vladimir R. Caraga (Executive Officer, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations, G7), Francis Carter L. Sibal ( Executive Officer, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retirees, G9), Ramon P. Flores (Executive Officer, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, G1), and Jose Ambrocio F. Rustia (Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel,G1).

From the Philippine Army Major Units were George M. Domingo (Chief of Staff, Civil-Military Operations Regiment), Lambert Jonathan I. Gesolgon (Chief, Provost Marshall, Army Signal Regiment), Raymund Dante P. Lachica (Director, Special Service Center), Ferdinand C. Compay (Chief, 2nd Finance Service Field Office), Erwin R. Salibad (Deputy Director, Army Leadership and Development Center, Training and Doctrine Command).

From the Army Support Command were Rolando D. Palomar (Commanding Officer, Supply Battalion), Romeo E. Cabanalan (Commandant, Service Support School and Assistant Chief of Staff for Training and Education, G8), and Noel B. Delerio (Commanding Officer, Maintenance Battalion and Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, G1).

The Army is fully aware that its personnel are the key players in its quest for professionalism and force preparedness, ensuring that only the best qualified individuals who have demonstrated the skills, abilities and potentials to discharge their duties and functions associated with the next rank are promoted.#
