Army welcomes new Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army installs the new Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, G1 in a Change of Chief of Office Ceremony held here today, May 13, 2020.

Col. Potenciano C. Camba turned over the office symbol to Col. Ramon P. Flores in a ceremony presided by Maj. Gen. Rowen S. Tolentino, the Army Chief of Staff.

Camba, a graduate of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1991, has been assigned in various units including the Light Armor Brigade, Presidential Security Group, and as Commanding Officer of the 3rd and later the 2nd Special Forces Battalion, Special Forces Regiment. He is set to assume as Commander of the 1002nd Infantry “Bagwis” Brigade, 10th Infantry "Agila" Division.

On the other hand, Flores, a member of PMA Class of 1994, has served the office as the former Executive Officer and Deputy G1 prior to his assumption. He also served as Commanding Officer of the 32nd Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Division and the 63rd Infantry Battalion, 8th Infantry Division prior.

“In our Army, winning wars is all about the soldier. How our personnel are selected, molded, equipped, led, and taken cared of determine how we fare to accomplish our tasks,” said Tolentino. "To sustain the accomplishment of our mandate, let us strengthen our personnel system, and ensure the continuity of our personnel programs," he added.
