PAOLCI, AGH, G1 discuss complementing efforts to revitalize the Army’s Comprehensive Mental Health Program

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army Officer's Ladies Club Inc. (PAOLCI), key members of the Army General Hospital (AGH), the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel (G1), and other members of the technical working group of the PA Comprehensive Mental Health Program met here today, June 29, 2020, to further efforts on its drive to promote mental wellness.

Mrs. Virginia Gapay, PAOLCI’s adviser, and Col. Ramon Flores along with other officers and consultants discussed the role of the PAOLCI and AGH in combatting the stigma on the soldiers’ mental health in connection with the Army’s “Kaagapay ng mga Bayani” with the theme “One Army, One Family”.

Among the roles of PAOLCI and AGH is to create a support group among the soldiers’ families and provide psychosocial first aid, to link the Army with the private sectors, and to further the reach of information dissemination to erase the stigma on mental illness.

“Our Army Officers’ Ladies are one of the hands that keep the Army intact. Your continuous efforts towards the betterment of our troops’ mental well-being will soon lead to a stronger family and stronger Philippine Army,” Flores said. #
