Army holds groundbreaking ceremony of Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. Building

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army hosted the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. (PMAAI) Building along with the Secretary of National Defense, Chief of Staff Armed Forces of the Philippines, PMAAAI Chairperson and Megaworld Foundation Inc. representatives here today, October 23, 2020.
Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, serving as the guest of honor during the event led the lowering of the time capsule together with Gen. Gilbert Gapay and Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana. Also present were PMAAAI Chairman Gen. Edgar Aglipay, Philippine Coast Guard Commander Admiral George Ursabia, Philippine National Police Representative Maj. Gen. Alfred Corpus, and Megaworld representatives Mr. Francis Canuto and Atty. Gary De Jesus.
In December 2018, A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Megaworld Foundation Inc. and PMAAAI which stipulates the building of a facility for use of the association. The building will serve as the center of leadership and excellence for the Army and PMAAAI in joint exercises to serve the needs of its members in advance leadership and career development.
“Fortunately, the Army has found its support in the PMAAAI and Megaworld Foundation Inc. Let us look forward to the completion of the center that will boost the passion and dedication of members towards happiness and productivity,” the CGPA said in his remarks.#
