New Army Vice Commander assumes office

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – In an Assumption Ceremony, the Commander of the Armor Division assumes as the 32nd Vice Commander of the Philippine Army here today, November 25, 2020.
Maj. Gen. Robert C. Dauz, a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988 is instrumental in capacitating Armor forces having served in the Armor Division, the former Mechanized Infantry Division, as its Chief of Staff and as Commanding Officer of the 1st and 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade. In 2018, he also led the Joint Task Force (JTF) Talakudong, the unit that conducts security and disaster risk reduction management operations in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.
“As the Vice Commander, you will be the chairman of several Philippine Army boards and committees that will assess, evaluate, and review projects, programs, proposals and policy formulations in support to our vision of a world-class Army,” Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana said in his remarks during the assumption ceremony. “I am confident that you will help me ensure that we attain, maintain, and sustain the operational readiness of the Army units within our available resources,” he added.#
