The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., accompanied Defense Sec. Delfin N. Lorenzana in an inspection of infrastructure projects being built at Kibaritan Military Reservation (MR) in Kalilangan, Bukidnon on February 2, 2022.
Kibaritan, the country’s second largest military reservation after Fort Magsaysay in Nueva Ecija, hosts the Mindanao Army Training Group (MATG) and the 524th Engineer Combat Battalion. The vast camp is being eyed as the site of the military's Combat Readiness Training Area (CRTA).
The Department of National Defense, in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways, has been constructing Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS) projects such as roads and fences of MATG in Kalilangan, Bukidnon. The Army is also perfecting its ownership of Kibaritan MR amid land issues and conflicting tenurial claims.
The CGPA thanked Sec. Lorenzana for ensuring the comprehensive development of PA base facilities which is in line with the PA's goal to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028.
