Army conducts SALAKNIB 2022 Final In-Progress Review

The Philippine Army (PA), in partnership with the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), conducted the Final In-Progress Review for this year’s SALAKNIB from January 31 up to February 4, 2022.
The PA, through the Office of the Chief of Staff for Education and Training, OG8, and USARPAC finalized the bilateral planning approach for SALAKNIB 2022 during the five-day activity.
The planners from the Philippine Army include the 1st Brigade Combat Team, Training and Doctrine Command, Army Artillery Regiment, Army Support Command, Army Aviation Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, and Installation Management Command. The 25th Infantry Division of the US Army, USARPAC, and the Joint US Military Assistance Group - Philippines also attended the event.
The In-Progress Review is the final event before the conduct of SALAKNIB 2022 Exercises on March 5 to 24 in different Central Luzon sites. SALAKNIB is an annual Army-to-Army bilateral training exercise that aims to enhance defense readiness and interoperability between PA and USARPAC.
Philippine Army's Deputy for Education and Training, Col. Emmanuel Cabasan, lauded the planners for their efforts to ensure the success of SALAKNIB 2022.
“I express high hopes for the success of the exercise as I have personally witnessed your hard work and dedication to ensure that concept of operations of all events and Subject Matter Expert Exchanges are well-planned and above all, relevant and respondent to the demands of the current operational environment,” Col. Cabasan said in his remarks.
