Army welcomes new Civil-Military Operations Regiment commander

The Philippine Army welcomed the new commander of the Civil-Military Operations Regiment (CMOR) on January 26, 2023, at the Headquarters CMOR, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
 
Col. Benjamin L. Hao formally assumed as the new CMOR Commander in a Change of Command Ceremony. Prior to his new post, Col. Hao served as the Commander of Task Force Ugnay and Assistant Division Commander (ADC) for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (RRA), all under the 7th Infantry “Kaugnay” Division. He also led other units such as the Chief of Staff, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC); Chief, Office of the Army Chief Public Affairs; and Commanding Officer of 7th Infantry Battalion under 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division. Col. Hao is a member of the Philippine Military Academy "Bigkis Lahi" Class of 1990 and holds a Master in Communication Development in University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU).
 
Meanwhile, outgoing Acting Commander Col. Marces T. Gayat belongs to PMA "Maalab" Class of 1993 and holds a Master in Public Management from Development Academy of the Philippines. He also headed other units as Commandant of the Training Staff of Reservist Officers Training Corps (ROTC) under National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group (NCRRCDG); Chief, Research and Data Division of the AFP Office of the Chief of Staff for Operations (OJ3, AFP); Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel and Commanding Officer of the 5th and 35th Infantry Battalions all under 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division.
 
The presiding officer Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. extended his well-wishes to Col. Hao as he takes on a new role. He also expressed his appreciation to Col. Gayat for serving as the Acting Commander of CMOR on top of his duty as the Chief of Office of Ethical Standards and Public Accountability, CMOR.
 
"Today, we acknowledge Col. Gayat who has exemplified outstanding leadership in the unit and Col. Hao who is equally a capable and competent leader to command the regiment. To Col. Hao and Col. Gayat, congratulations and good luck on your future endeavors!" said Lt. Gen. Brawner in his message.
