CGPA receives 2021 state audit report on Army

The Commanding General, Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., received the Commission on Audit’s 2021 state audit report for the Philippine Army on May 10, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA), Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
 
The Army Chief has enjoined the HPA general staff and the unit commanders to fully cooperate with COA, a constitutional body, in the conduct of its annual audit review of the organization.
 
“State auditors are here not to help us cover the shortcomings or probably the errors that we have done in the past but to help us correct these so that in the future these will not re-accumulate,” Lt. Gen. Brawner said.
 
The Army Chief has likewise talked about the importance of the annual state audit report as a means to strengthen transparency and good governance within the organization. He likewise assured COA, represented by State Auditor Olympia P. Balugay, that the Army will comply with the timely and thorough reporting, accounting, auditing, and documenting of its activities.
