Army reservists rescue flood victims in Bukidnon

Army reservists teamed up with local responders in rescuing families living in low-lying areas of Barangay Dologon, Maramag, Bukidnon from August 5 to August 6, 2022.
 
Reservists from the 1003rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion and responders from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) of Maramag teamed up to rescue families in flood-risk areas of the town. Reservists and responders rescued around 20 families during the humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts that lasted until the wee hours of August 6.
 
Army reservists have been playing a key role in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) efforts for calamity and accident victims nationwide. The Army leadership has vowed to further develop and strengthen its reserve units that act as an expansion base for the regular force in times of national emergencies, wars, rebellion, or invasion.
