Army athletes rule 2022 Turbo Sprint Triathlon

The Philippine Army’s triathlon team ruled the 2022 Turbo Sprint Triathlon’s all-male relay category at the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub, Imus, Cavite on August 14, 2022.
 
Staff Sergeant Reynaldo Navarro ruled the cycling leg, Sergeant GM Gonzales led the swimming while Private First Class Robinson Esteves dominated the running leg of the event organized by Trisports Solutions Incorporated.
 
Triathletes competed in three main categories: Turbo Distance (800-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike, 5-kilometer run); Flash Distance (400-meter swim, 10-kilometer bike, 2.5-kilometer run); and Blitz Multisprint (200-meter swim, 4-kilometer bike, 2-kilometer run).
 
Special Service Center Director Col. John Oliver F. Gabun lauded the Army’s triathlon team for excelling in the event that saw the action of elite teams from all over the country. “Your dedication to train hard on top of fulfilling your duties as servant-soldiers for our country is truly laudable. Continue to sustain your winning momentum,” the SSC Director said.
