Army troops continue Bayanihan efforts for Karding victims

Army troops, in coordination with government responders and non-government organizations, continue to bring aid to far-flung towns that bore the brunt of Super Typhoon Karding on September 28, 2022.

Troops from the 91st Infantry Battalion (91IB), 7th Infantry Division assisted policemen and other government responders in delivering aid to families affected by “Karding” at Barangay Poblacion, Dingalan, Aurora on September 28, 2022. Moreover, 91IB troops joined hands with other government responders in bringing food packs, multivitamins, and medicines for more than 1,000 families in the coastal barangay of Umiray in Dingalan, Aurora.

Meanwhile, Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG) troops, utilizing Army Support Command trucks, worked hand in hand with Coast Guard personnel in hauling relief goods from a non-government organization that will be distributed to families in Polillo Island in Quezon province.

The Philippine Army is maximizing its active and reserve force to support humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts for Filipinos who lost their homes and livelihood in the wake of the devastation left by Karding, the strongest tropical cyclone to lash the country this year.
