The Philippine Army installed Col. Ranulfo O. Espera as the new 1301st Dental Dispensary Commanding Officer on February 28, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
Col. Enrique Pacifico M. Pabayo relinquished the post to Col. Espera in a Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony presided by Col. Richard T. Ruffy, Deputy Commander of the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group, Philippine Army. Col. Espera, prior to his new assignment, has served as the Officer in Charge and Acting Chief of the Office of the Army Chief Dental Surgeon. He also handled various leadership roles in different dental units such as the 1368th Dental Detachment, 8th Infantry Division; 1308th Dental Detachment, Western Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP); and 1351st Dental Company, General Headquarters, AFP.
On the other hand, Col. Pabayo has led the unit since January 2021. He also served as the Acting Chief Dental Service, AFP, and the Commanding Officer of Camp Peralta Station Hospital, 3rd Infantry Division. Col. Pabayo will now end his active military career after almost 30 years in the service.
Col. Ruffy extended his congratulations to both Col. Pabayo and Col. Espera as they embark on their new journey. He also encouraged the new 1301st Dental Dispensary Commanding Officer to continue the unit's pursuit of giving excellent service to its stakeholders.
