The Philippine Army Aqua Troopers dominated the National Capital Region (NCR) Swim Series Tournament 2023, hauling a total of 45 medals and five trophies during the competition held at the Muntinlupa Aquatic Center, Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa City on March 11, 2023.
The competition, organized by the Swim League Philippines, is a pre-qualifier for the upcoming Dubai Swim Meet. Nine Army swimmers showcased their swimming prowess in various categories hauling a total of 28 gold medals, 12 silver medals, 5 bronze medals, and five trophies.
Special Service Center (SSC) Director Col. John Oliver F. Gabun lauded the Army swimmers for showing that they are a dominant force in the local swimming sporting scene. “Kudos on your latest victory. Sustain your winning momentum as you will soon embark anew on the quest for international glory," the SSC Chief remarked.
