Army hosts PA-US Army Fellowship Dinner

The Philippine Army hosted a fellowship dinner for the United States Army in commemoration of the successful opening of Salaknib 2023 on March 13, 2023 at Shangri-La at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Metro Manila.

Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. expressed his gratitude to the PA's US Army counterparts headed by the Commanding General of I Corps, US Army Lt. Gen. Xavier T. Brunson for personally attending the opening of PA-US Army Pacific's "Flagship" training exercise. The CGPA also acknowledged the intensified engagements between the two countries focusing on interoperability in the areas of territorial defense, counter-terrorism, humanitarian assistance and disaster response, warfighting functions, and military professionalism despite the constraints on face-to-face engagements brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the activity, the CGPA also expressed his optimism toward more bilateral engagements and activities to realize the PA-US Army's mutual aspirations of promoting peace and stability in the region.

"The activities we undertake together are a true testament to our commitment to upholding the same degree of trust and confidence that we have consistently displayed. While working hand in hand, may we continue to share best practices and lessons gained as we build our capacity as dependable and credible forces," said Lt. Gen. Brawner.
